If you own a Harley-Davidson, chances are you already know your motorcycle sound system is in need of some serious help. The good news is that Extreme Audio in Midlothian and Mechanicsville are experts at making the sound system on your bike worthy of the name Harley-Davidson. With our years of experience in working on motorcycle sound systems, we know what is lacking: You have no bass, no output, and the sound you have is weak and lifeless.
Did we do a pretty good job of summing it up? Here are the most logical steps to improving the sound quality of your stereo system.
Step One: Speakers
Speakers are the lifeblood of any stereo system. On a motorcycle, they have to be good. They are tasked with giving you great-sounding music at highway speeds while enduring all of the dust, vibration and dirt a motorcycle is known for. That is a pretty tall order, but fortunately Extreme Audio sells the finest speakers available for your bike. We offer everything from basic upgrades to full-blown custom packages. This is the first place to start for your upgrades.
Step Two: Power
Power is a good thing, especially when it comes to your audio system. When you are riding up the road at speed, you already know the amount of road noise you encounter. It is a lot more than what you experience in your truck or SUV. To overcome all the road noise, you need to add an amplifier to your system. Your Harley stereo system puts out anywhere from 10 to 20 watts of power per speaker, yet you need 75 to 150 watts per speaker to get them rockin’. We have several different models of amplifiers designed to take the abuse of life on a motorcycle, so we are sure to have what you need.
Step Three: More Speakers
Add more speakers. The more speakers you have, the more total sound you can achieve, which is a good thing. If two speakers is good, four is better and six is best. Our motorcycle audio experts will look over your bike with you and give you ideas for how to get the sound you have always wanted.
Step Four: Bass
Bass is the final frontier. While it is true that you will never have in-your-face, pounding bass at road speeds, we can build you a subwoofer enclosure to give you real bass while cruising at low speeds or while parked.
Above All, Choose An Expert
Choose an expert. When you want real power from your bike, you go to an engine expert. When you want beautiful paint, you find a great painter. When you want a great-sounding audio system, go to an audio expert. The team at Extreme Audio has decades of experience in designing and building the finest mobile audio systems in the Richmond area.
