A repeat client recently stopped in at our Midlothian location, interested in adding emergency strobe lighting to his 2015 Chevy Silverado 2500HD. We had previously installed an HID/LED lighting upgrade to his Silverado. He had found some YouTube videos showing a particular strobe arrangement that he really liked, and wanted to duplicate it on his Silverado.
We started out with two low-profile LED strobe lights for the front grille. Each LED pod contains six LEDs in an amber/white color configuration. They tuck nicely into the front grille and are hardly noticeable until they are turned on.
On the rear of the truck, we were able to install two low-depth LED strobe lights into the third brake light housing. We mounted the strobes in the clear lens portion of the housing, and moved the clear bulbs over to accommodate them.
We installed the same combo into the reverse light section of the tail lights.
The strobe light package worked out great for the client. With more than 29 different strobe configurations, he can dial in exactly what he wanted with a push button installed in the dash.
