There’s no hiding the fact that the Ford F-150 is the most popular truck in the USA. At the same time, there’s no hiding the fact that some of the radio systems it comes with are lacking a ton. When a new client from Mechanicsville came in with his 2014 F-150, looking to upgrade to a new navigation system, we had the perfect solution for him.
Pioneer makes a really nice navigation system called the AVIC7200NEX that combines all the new technology – like Apple CarPlay – with all the other useful features like navigation, Bluetooth and more. The Pioneer is also compatible with an even more cool part called the iDatalink Maestro. This piece is a communication gateway between the F-150’s computer and the new radio. Now the client can display multiple gauges, check and clear engine codes, see tire pressures, and more, right on the screen of the Pioneer Navigation. It also retains the factory steering wheel controls through the new stereo.
The iDatalink Maestro works with a bunch of different vehicles from Ford, GM, Chrysler, Jeep and more.
