A husband and wife from Chesterfield recently visited our Midlothian location, looking to add a backup camera to their 2010 Toyota Avalon. The Avalon was difficult to see out of, and wrenching around trying to get a better view was literally a pain in the neck.
After looking over some options, they decided that they’d prefer a camera with a little wider angle view, so they could see oncoming traffic and pedestrians better when backing up. With the wide-angle view, a small monitor wasn’t what they were looking for. Instead of the “typical” mirror replacement, they opted for the much larger viewing area of a replacement radio.
Pioneer offered a perfect solution that allows them to view the video from the backup camera on a large 7” LCD screen. It pops up automatically when you put the Toyota in reverse, and goes right back to the radio when you put the vehicle back in drive. They also liked the added benefit of Bluetooth, allowing them to stream music from their phone, and field phone calls on the road as well.
