As a busy wife, mom and businesswoman, I can’t imagine what my life would be like if my vehicle didn’t have a remote starter. Especially with winter just around the corner, I am so thankful for how much time it saves me and for how much more I enjoy riding in my warm car on a cold winter day. I wanted to share a typical week with you so you can put a picture to this idea.
Weekdays With My Remote Starter
Starting the week on Monday, everyone is tired from a fun-filled weekend but moving a bit slowly. As I get ready for work and the kids get ready for school, there’s a lot to do. Most Mondays, we’re cutting it close on time. Then, I realize there is frost all over my car. Normally, it takes about 10 minutes for my defrosters to melt it, so 10 minutes before we’re ready to walk out the door, I press a button on my remote starter and, as my car warms up, the frost melts away. We get to go out to a warm car that is ready to drive, instead of wasting time sitting in a cold car and trying to get the frost to melt so I can see out of my windshield.
Vehicle Safety Remains Uncompromised
I also don’t have to worry about my car being stolen as I would if I had my key in the ignition while I was inside the house. I have the keys with me, and my car remains locked.
During the week, on top of work, I have meetings and errands to run, and the kids have sports practices and play dates. There is rarely a day that I don’t use my car to go somewhere. Most days, I’m getting in and out of it at least three times. On really cold days, it doesn’t take long for my car to begin to cool off, but I can be reassured it will be warm and cozy when I return, thanks to the remote starter
On a given day, I have a 90-minute lunch meeting with a coworker who will also ride back to the office with me. A few minutes before our meeting is over, I push a button for my vehicle to start warming up. Having a cozy car on a cold day is makes things more comfortable for the passengers riding along with me.
Things Don’t Slow Down On The Weekends
Weekends are great when we all get to sleep in, but the to-do list isn’t getting any shorter. On a typical weekend, I have multiple stops to make. With the holidays approaching, there are even more places to go as I begin shopping for gifts and preparing big holiday meals. Having a remote starter installed in my vehicle has made running errands a little less stressful for me, knowing I don’t have to spend extra time scraping snow and ice from my windows and my seat will be warm.
My husband even prefers to take my car on date nights because of the benefits it now has.
