Wet Sounds & Extreme Audio Rock This 2013 Chaparral

Chaparral Sunesta Audio SystemWe recently talked to one of our marine audio clients from last year. We realized that his boat hadn’t made the switch over from our old web site to the new one! Being one of the larger boat installs that we did last year, we figured we ought to post it up for everyone to check out! We can neither confirm or deny that this boat parties hard while on the water, but we can confirm that the owner wanted it to throw down!

Wet Sounds Amplifier Came Factory Installed

AmplifiersThe good news was that we were able to use some of the factory installed equipment in the system. Many boat companies, knowing that Wet Sounds is killing it these days, have started installing their products as OEM equipment. This system had one of the Wet Sounds HT6 Channel amplifiers in it, as well as a solid Clarion water-tight marine radio.

Wet Sounds EQ Allows Multi-Zone Control

Wet Sounds EQStarting with that radio, we installed a Wet Sounds WS-420 EQ to give complete control over the various zones on the boat. If you have someone being towed, or you simply want to be heard, you can crank the towers up by themselves.  If you want all your sound inside the boat itself, you can leave the towers off. We even added a second volume control in the front of the boat.  This way, if the people up front want to talk, they can turn the music down in that area!

All Speakers Upgraded to Wet Sounds

All the factory speakers in the boat were upgraded to Wet Sounds 6 1/2″ speakers.  We added RGB lighting to let them glow in any of thousands of different colors at night.   These speakers were a perfect match to the existing Wet Sounds HT 6 Channel amp.

Subwoofers Upgraded to JL Audio 10″ Marine Subs

The factory off brand 10″ subwoofer was removed, and replaced with 3 JL Audio M Series 10″ Marine subwoofers! You can’t have a boat with all voices and no bump can you? The subs were run off of an Arc Audio XDi series 1000 watt amplifier.

Wet Sounds In The Wake Towers

Wet Sounds REV 10

Wait, you can’t have a wake tower without wake speakers can you? We took care of that as well, adding a set of Wet Sounds REV 10’s, with custom machined brackets.  We also added RGB light rings that make the entire front of the speakers glow crazy bright at night! Powering the REV10’s is an Arc Audio KS600.2, for 400 watts of power to each tower. The great thing about that amp, is that if he decides to add a second set of REV10’s, he has plenty of power in the tank to do it. At the end of the day, this boat is definitely rockin’ the water.

If you’re interested in taking your boat’s audio to the next level, give us a call or stop by for a free estimate!  Extreme Audio is Richmond’s marine audio expert and a proud Wet Sounds dealer.
