A new client from Richmond was recently referred to us by his Toyota dealer. He had bought a 2012 Toyota Camry, and it wasn’t equipped with a backup camera from the factory. After having a camera on his other vehicle, backing up without one was quite literally a pain in his neck!
When he went back to his Toyota dealer, they informed him that it wasn’t an option they could add after the fact, but suggested that he should come see us. After taking a look at the Camry, we noticed that it was already equipped with a large color screen. Rather than try to add a separate screen or a monitor in the mirror, it definitely made more sense to send the signal from our camera system right into the larger OEM screen.
Luckily, we knew just the right adapter to do just that. We partnered the adapter with a Rydeen Duo camera, which is made to look just like one that was factory-installed. It gets tucked up under the trunk lip, so you’d never know it was there unless you were really looking for it. Now he has a great view behind the Camry, and no more worries of messing up his bumper when backing up.
