A regular client of ours recently bought a Range Rover. He was so thrilled with the Alpine Navigation we had installed in his BMW 740LI, he just had to have one for his new ride! We fabricated a new custom radio mount for the Alpine INE-W927HD navigation unit to fit nicely in the front. With the resulting fit and finish it is hard to tell that this is not a factory Range Rover navigation unit.
He also wanted to improve on the factory sound. We upgraded the front and rear speakers to JL Audio and added a JL amplifier and Alpine subwoofer for the bottom end. A new set of JL Audio C2 components were installed in the front and rear doors. A JL Audio JX500/1D amplifier was run to an Alpine Type S 12″ subwoofer in the rear. The original fiber optic amplifier was removed to make way for the new JL Audio amplifier.
At the end of the day, he was stoked with the improvements on sound, and really happy with the new Alpine navigation system. So happy, he’s probably going to bring back his BMW to upgrade to the newer version Alpine nav!
