Product Spotlight: Infinity Kappa Perfect Harley-Davidson Speakers

The new Infinity Kappa Perfect speakers for Harley-Davidson touring motorcycles are now available at Extreme Audio in Mechanicsville and Midlothian. These speakers were designed from the ground up to deliver amazing output and clarity in a direct-fit solution for 6.5- and 6×9-inch applications in fairings, lowers, Tour-Paks or saddlebags.

Infinity Kappa Perfect 600X and 900X Features

The 6.5-inch Kappa Perfect 600X and the 6×9-inch Kappa Perfect 900X are based on glass-fiber-reinforced injection-molded baskets. In addition, the drivers use lightweight neodymium magnets instead of heavy ceramic units to ensure excellent sensitivity while keeping the weight of the speakers to a minimum.

A basalt-damped woven fiber woofer cone with Plus One technology optimizes bass output while delivering precise and accurate midrange performance. Specifically, Plus One refers to Infinity’s oversize cone design that increases overall driver efficiency. In addition, the larger-than-typical cones are paired with a 3-ohm voice coil that allows amplifiers to produce a little extra power without serious current draw issues. The result? These speakers play louder and deeper than their competitors.

Am inverted high-roll rubber surround keeps things centered. The tweeter in each speaker features a 1-inch edge-driven polyphenylene sulfide dome to offer crisp and clear highs, even when the throttle is cranked. The tweeters can be removed from the bridge above the woofer and used with external passive crossover networks in a component installation.

The 600X kit includes a pair of speakers, crossovers and surface-mount tweeter cups. Grilles are included for Street Glide, Road Glide or Tour Pak installations. The speakers are designed with mounting holes to ensure that they bolt directly in place with no modifications to your motorcycle. The 900X kit includes cutting templates for your existing saddlebag lids and a two-piece grille that includes mounts for the new speakers. Surface mount tweeter cups are also included in the 900X kit, should you want them installed separately. Finally, there are three Infinity emblems with 3M adhesive tape.

Both systems are IPX5-rated on the front and back, so you have nothing to worry about if it starts to rain or you need to wash your bike after a dusty ride.
