Alpine PXE-0850S Features
The PXE-0850S includes six preamp-level analog inputs, eight speaker-level inputs and both coaxial and TOSLINK fiber optic digital inputs for reliable connectivity with any conceivable audio source. The preamp inputs will accept up to 7.5 volts, and the speaker level inputs will accept up to 25 volts. A matrix-style mixer allows us to combine audio signals from any of the input channels to drive whatever speakers we install in the vehicle.
On the output side, the processor includes eight channels of built-in amplification rated at 25 watts each. There are also 12 preamp outputs available, each rated for 7.5 volts. These preamp outputs let you choose whatever amplifier power levels you want to maximize the performance of your sound system.
Internally, each output channel includes high- and low-pass crossovers with adjustable slopes and crossover points. Each channel also has a signal delay adjustment that can provide up to 20 milliseconds of delay. Finally, a 31-band graphic or parametric equalizer allows us to smooth and balance the frequency response of each speaker in the sound system.
Wireless Control and Audio Streaming
Using the included Bluetooth module, you can stream music from your Android or iOS-based smartphone directly into the PXE-0850S. The PXE-DSP-APP app for Android and Apple devices also allows for system tuning right from your smartphone.
You can use the app to select from six system tune presets. We can create configurations for critical listening, cruising or rocking out to your favorite jams.
Wired Remote Control
The Alpine PXE-0850S includes a wired remote control that we can mount conveniently in your vehicle to serve as the master volume control. The remote also allows you to select signal sources and change system presets.
