Subwoofer for JL Jeep Wrangler
The PSS-23WRA includes an Alpine PWE-S8 eight-inch powered subwoofer system and all the brackets we need to mount it under the passenger seat. The enclosure is only 3 inches deep and includes a 120 watt amplifier to ensure bass is tight and controlled.
Unlike conventional subwoofer systems that fit in the cargo area of your Jeep, the PWE-S8 sounds great even when you remove the hardtop from the vehicle.
Compact Four-Channel Amplifier
The second component in the Alpine PSS-23WRA is Alpine’s KTP-445U four-channel amplifier. Also called the Universal Power Pack, this amp can provide up to 150% more power to your speaker than a conventional source unit. The difference is improved clarity, less distortion and — of course — more output. Whether you are driving through town, cruising the interstate or crawling through the woods, extra power to your speakers ensures they sound better at all volume levels.
Jeep Tweeter Upgrade
The last hardware component in the PSS-23WRA is a set of SPR-10TW tweeters. The factory-installed Jeep JL sound system is weak at the top end. These new tweeters mount in the dash to provide the clarity and detail that’s missing. Alpine includes mounting brackets to make the installation quick and efficient.
