Extreme Audio in Mechanicsville and Midlothian are excited to introduce the amazing Alpine iLX-F309. The F309, which is also known as HALO9, is a single-DIN multimedia receiver with a unique 9-inch, full-color touchscreen LCD screen. How did Alpine fit a 9-inch display into a single-DIN chassis? Keep reading to find out.
HALO9: Alpine iLX-F309 Universal 9-Inch Display with CarPlay & Android Auto
As the undisputed experts in large-screen multimedia solutions for trucks and SUVs, Alpine wanted a way to give car owners the same big-screen experience that makes navigation and entertainment so easy. Rather than follow the approach of Restyle with custom dash kits, Alpine has introduced the iLX-F309. The F309 features a single-DIN chassis that will fit into anything from an ’80s Ford Tempo or Honda Civic to a late-model Tacoma, Camry or Accord.
The display for the iLX-F309 hovers in front of the chassis similar to the way the display does in a new Mazda3 or Mercedes-Benz C-Class. This design allows Alpine to offer a large screen without the need for extensive vehicle modification. The Alpine HALO9 includes four different mounting angles and two mounting depth options for the screen to ensure we can make the system look great in your vehicle.
The 9-inch screen features a capacitive touch interface so that the 800×480-pixel WVGA display looks sharp and clear. You can choose from eight color schemes to coordinate with or contrast the lighting and styling of your interior.
HALO9 Entertainment Features
The F309 is a digital media receiver, with no CD player. It offers Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity so you can play music stored on your smartphone by simply asking. You can also access streaming services like Pandora, Spotify, iHeartRadio and Tidal. You can even listen to podcasts or books from Audible or audiobooks.com. The F309 is also SiriusXM-ready, so just add an SXV300 tuner to enjoy your favorite music anytime, anywhere.
The USB port will play FLAC, MP3, WMA and AAC audio files, as well as a variety of video formats. The built-in tuner covers standard AM and FM frequencies, and it can decode HD Radio signals as well. The Bluetooth interface will allow you to stream audio using the A2DP protocol from any compatible device.
The Heart of an Amazing Audio System
Alpine products are designed to complement each other to create an amazing entertainment system. If you just have to play a compact disc, the Alpine DVE-5300 can be connected to the HDMI input on the rear of the F309. The built-in four-channel amplifier is rated to produce a maximum of 50 watts per channel, and the front, rear and subwoofer preamp outputs are rated at 4 volts RMS. Alpine has included TuneIt 2.0 compatibility to allow us to set your system up for maximum performance and realism using your smartphone. Finally, compatibility with the ADS Maestro system ensures compatibility with factory infotainment solutions and vehicle configuration options.

Does it fit a 2014 chrysler s
It definitely could, you just need additional adapters to keep your other factory controls intact. It does fit REALLY close to the shifter though. You can see one installed in the same vehicle here https://www.extremeaudio.org/colonial-heights-client-upgrades-chrysler-300-audio-system/
Can this radio fit in a 2017 dodge charger
iDatalink Maestro definitely offers a wiring interface for doing a radio in the Charger, but it may take some custom work on the physical installation end of things. We’ve done the Challengers, but not a Charger currently. You can see the Challenger here https://www.extremeaudio.org/midlothian-client-upgrades-dodge-challenger-source-unit-with-halo-9/
