If you live near Richmond and are looking for a high-quality dashcam for your vehicle, drop by Extreme Audio and ask about the Alpine DVR-C310R. This DVR system includes a full-HD forward-facing camera module and a secondary camera that we can mount in the rear window of your vehicle or the interior to monitor the driver and passenger. The system begins recording as soon as you start the vehicle, so there’s video evidence of everything happening while you drive.
Alpine DVR-C310R Dashcam Features
The DVR-C310R includes a 1920-by-1080-pixel forward-facing camera that captures at 30 frames per second. The rear camera has a resolution of 1080 by 720 pixels. The video files are saved in an easily viewable H.264 MP4 file format, so you can download and share them with law enforcement, insurance companies or social media. In addition, wide Dynamic Range contrast compression helps to ensure that details are clear and easy to read.
A built-in GPS receiver stores the vehicle location and speed with the video file. In addition, information from the built-in three-axis accelerometer is also stored. More importantly, the accelerometer can be used to trigger event recordings that are stored in a separate folder on a micro-SD card for quick access. A low-power parking mode saves video when it detects motion or changes in the video image.
Wi-Fi Equipped for Easy Data Access
Should you be involved in or witness an accident, built-in Wi-Fi connectivity makes it easy to pair your smartphone with the DVR-C310R to download video files. All you have to do is download the Alpine Recording Viewer from the Apple or Google app store (for free). The app can display both front and rear camera images, vehicle location on a map, speed, and information from the accelerometer.

Purchased Alpine dvr-C310R and had professionally installed 3 weeks ago. Was more than a little surprised when I checked the rear camera image and found it to be reversed (mirror image). Contacted installer and Alpine and no way to fix. Was told by Alpine all models are like this. How is this a good thing?! I purchased this device for proof when accidents occur. You can use software to flip the image but doing so also flips the image of the Alpine Date and time stamp making image appear altered. Showing an altered image to an insurance company or court is not something I want to do. Beyond disappointed with this device and will contact installer for options if any.
That’s odd, and certainly not normal. It should be giving you a video as if you were sitting in the back seat looking out of the back window. If not, are you viewing it via the phone app, or via computer?
Per checking with Alpine. When viewing in the app the image shows as reversed. If the file is downloaded say for use in court, the image views properly on a computer. Apparently it’s an odd glitch with the app that they are working on an update for.
