A client from Powhatan recently returned to us, looking to add a few minor accessories to his 2016 Chevrolet Suburban. We had added a Truxedo bed cover and WeatherTech accessories to his wife’s Nissan Frontier. They liked how those WeatherTech rain guards looked on the Nissan, so he was looking to add those to his Suburban, as well as a bug deflector and mud flaps.
WeatherTech hadn’t released the bug deflector or rain guards for his particular Suburban, so we opted for a set from Auto Ventshade. Auto Ventshade makes a bug deflector that, instead of sitting up a couple inches high, fits right down snugly against the edge of the hood. This makes for a streamlined look, as you can see in the pictures. The rain guards are the type that tuck into the window track, instead of being put on the outside of the truck with adhesive, again giving them a streamlined look, as well as cutting down on wind noise.
WeatherTech did, however, have awesome mud flaps for the Suburban. These are laser-measured for a perfect fit to the Suburban, and look like they came on it right from the factory. Most of them only run $39 for a pair!
