2018 VW Golf GTI Plastic speaker adapters were used to allow for the extra depth of the speaker. Sound deadener was used to treat the door panels. Foam rings were installed to maximize the speaker output. Numerous parts were 3d printed to construct the speaker pods. Our technicians did an incredible job designing these pods. Printing the pods give us complete flexibility in their design. The pods looked better than a factory piece! The JL Audio VXi amplifier features 6 channels and an on-board processor. Sub duties were handled by the capable ARC Audio amplifier. The control for the JL Audio processor was mounted to the right of the gear selector. The utlra-thin design of the JL Audio TW3 woofer allowed us to build a very shallow enclosure. Our fabricators took advantage of the space in the spare tire wheel to position the subwoofer. With the enclosure in place the hatch floor remains stock height.
