The owner of this 2023 Chevrolet Corvette had a few close calls due to the vehicle’s limited rearward visibility. After an extensive online search, he hadn’t found a shop he trusted to integrate a blind spot monitoring system into his car. He contacted Extreme Audio in Midlothian and, after a conversation, felt confident we could handle the upgrade and take care of his Corvette.
The VOXX ADVBSD30 blind spot system we suggested includes a pair of radar-based sensors that monitor the area beside and behind the vehicle. We removed the rear bumper from the car, made our measurements and mounted the sensors to the ends of the crash support beam. All the wiring is routed safely along the same paths as the factory harnesses.
We mounted the LED indicators at the bottom of the A-pillars inside the car. If a vehicle is in an adjacent lane, the indicators illuminate to warn the driver. If he signals to change lanes, the system provides a loud warning to let him know something is beside him.
The client was thrilled with our work on his Corvette blind spot monitoring system. The car looks as good as new, and the system functions like it came from the factory.
