Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Accessory Upgrades for Midlothian Client

A client from Midlothian contacted Extreme Audio by e-mail to inquire about some 2017 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited accessory and audio upgrades. After he looked through our online gallery, we arranged for a face-to-face meeting with the client. We showed him several of the products that Alpine has developed specifically for the Wrangler. He loved the way they functioned, so we made a plan to upgrade his Jeep.

Integrated Head Unit Replacement

The Alpine X009-WRA Restyle kit is designed specifically for 2011 and newer Jeep Wranglers. The system includes a multimedia receiver integrated into a new dash panel. Controls for the radio surround the massive 9-inch screen to make using it easy. Features include built-in navigation, Bluetooth hands-free and audio streaming, and an integration module to display vehicle information like battery voltage, tire pressure and OBD-2 system status. We added an Audiovox SXV300v1 SiriusXM receiver to the X009-WRA to give him satellite radio reception anywhere in the country.

Dual Camera System

The Alpine camera/light combo looks great on the Jeep spare tire.

As an added bonus, the Alpine radio provides markers for knowing how far you have to travel when backing up.

The front-mount camera tucked neatly in between the front grille bars.

Since the spare tire on the back door of the Jeep makes it hard to see behind the vehicle when backing up, we suggested adding a backup camera to make parking and maneuvering safer. Alpine offers another Wrangler-specific solution called the HCE-TCAM1-WRA: a backup camera integrated into a third brake light module that bolts to the center of the spare tire. The camera image displays as soon as the transmission is in reverse.

For added safety and convenience, we mounted an Alpine HCE-C257fd multi-view front camera in the front grille. The camera image can be displayed on the X009-WRA by pressed a dedicated front camera button in the Favorites menu.

Portable Entertainment

The client saw one of the Alpine ICE PWD-CB1 coolers we have at the store. The ICE PWD-CB1 has a built-in media player and a set of two-way speakers built into the side. The integrated amplifier produces 90 watts per channel; more than enough for any bar-b-que. The cooler fits perfectly in the back of the Jeep and can be powered by the Jeep or with an external power supply.

N-FAB Drop Steps

To finish off the project, we installed a set of N-FAB HPJ0764-TX Wheel-to-wheel nerf steps. The main bar extends the entire length of the rocker panel and includes a pair of heavy-duty drop steps to make climbing in and out of the Wrangler easy.
