Emergency and Safety Lighting for all Vehicle Types

Vehicle LightingExtreme Audio in Mechanicsville and Midlothian offer a variety of safety, emergency and work light options for cars, trucks, heavy equipment and commercial vehicles. Over the past few months, we’ve been upgrading a fleet of trucks and off-road vehicles for a local company that offers tree pruning, trimming and right-of-way services. The solutions we have provided to this company are similar to what would be required by construction, paving, towing or surveying businesses. Let’s take a look at the safety solutions available for your fleet of vehicles and explain why we are the best choice in the Richmond area for lighting upgrades.

Car and Truck Safety Lighting

Vehicle Lighting
Extreme Audio has a capable team of lighting experts.

Safety and emergency lighting installations are something that our team of automotive accessory experts excels at. Our knowledge of how automotive electrical systems work ensures that we connect lights in a way that won’t overload circuits or affect the functionality or performance of the factory-installed turn signals or hazard lights. Our unique understanding of how to make electrical connections safely and securely means that the upgrades we make to your vehicles will operate reliably for decades. The way we route and secure cables not only keeps them out of sight, but the pathways also avoid high-heat areas, and everything is protected against damage from abrasion.

The locations for the lighting controls are chosen with input from the client so that the system will be intuitive for their staff members. We can provide a variety of switch styles and include illumination as necessary. Center consoles, dashboards and overhead consoles are common switch locations. If those mounting options aren’t suitable, our team can fabricate custom solutions as required or to meet specific needs. In short, nothing is left to chance when it comes to ensuring that every aspect of the safety upgrade will function flawlessly.

Emergency Lighting System Design

Vehicle Lighting
We offer a variety of safety lighting solutions.

We meet with each client and examine the subject vehicle so that we understand the objective of the project. Only when we are sure we have complete comprehension of our client’s goals do we put together a lighting system design and provide them with a detailed, no-surprises quote to complete the project. Our experience in disassembling, upgrading and reassembling vehicles of all shapes and sizes means that our pricing is fair and that we can deliver on promised deadlines.

We offer beacons, light bars, visor lights, strobes, work lights, off-road lighting and headlight bulb upgrades to suit a variety of on- and off-road vehicles. Wherever possible, we suggest high-output LED lighting. LEDs offer impressive output levels to keep your staff just as visible during the day as they are at night.

The client we’ve been working with is often required to work on or adjacent to a road with live traffic. Occasionally, they get permission to close a lane to traffic to help them work with greater safety. The safety lighting on their vehicles is crucial to keeping their staff safe. Our project started with front, rear and side split amber and white light heads being added to their Ford F-150 and F-350 pickup trucks. We added the same lights to the front and rear of their Ford Super Duty-based flatbed vehicle. The Kenworth crane truck has four LED warning lights in the front grille and a set on the back of the vehicle just above the stabilizers.

The next part of the project was to add lighting to the client’s Polaris Ranger XP side-by-side. This vehicle is used for scouting locations for estimates and moving staff around worksites. We made quick work of installing two lights in the front grille and a second pair on the small tailgate.

Last, but certainly not least, the client brought us their Marsh Master amphibious vehicle. This vehicle is used for bush hogging, which is essentially industrial lawn-mowing. After protecting the floor of our shop with heavy-duty rubber mats, we pulled the vehicle into our bay and set to work adding the lighting to the top of the truck, just above the LED work lights.
