Backup cameras are becoming more and more popular. With so many vehicles now coming equipped with in-dash screens, it is a easy safety upgrade. The owner of this 2011 BMW 335d was looking for such and upgrade. He stopped by to find out if there was a way to add a backup camera to his car. We had the perfect solution through one of our OEM integration suppliers, Nav-TV. Nav-TV offers an interface that lets external video signals, such as a backup camera, to be sent to the factory screen. We added a Rydeen backup camera just over the license plate to complete the installation. Now, when the client is backing up, they can safely see everything behind them.

I have a 2011 bmw 335d with technology package (nav). How much would it be to install aftermarket backup camera? Does the I drive already have software uploaded for this feature to plug and play? Thanks
Thanks for the question! There is an adapter available for your BMW to tie into the existing screen for a backup camera/ video input. There are actually two different plug styles on the back of the radio that dictate which adapter is the correct one, so the radio needs to be removed to verify which plug is there prior to ordering the part. Give us a call at 804-559-3589 to discuss the options. Thanks!
