High-Performance Coax Horn Speakers
For those who demand the loudest speakers on two wheels, the Coax Horn series from Cicada Audio is the only choice. Based on cast aluminum baskets, the Coax Horn speakers feature a 2-inch high-temperature BlackCoat voice coil for a power rating of 500 watts continuous and 1,000 watts peak.
The woofer cone is a lightweight but rigid pressed paper design with a water-resistant coating. The ultra-efficient tweeter uses a massive 1.4-inch diaphragm. Coax Horn speakers are available in 6.5- and 8-inch round sizes along with 6×9 applications in your choice of 2- or 4-ohm impedances. The Coax Horn speakers also include a shorting ring in the motor assembly to reduce distortion.
Cicada Audio Coax Speakers
The Coax series of speakers includes 6.5-inch and 6×9 sizes in both 4- and 2-ohm configurations. All the drivers are based on polymer frames and feature high-strength neodymium magnets for excellent efficiency. The woofer cones are formed from weather-resistant, injection-molded polypropylene and feature a long-last rubber surround. The 1-inch dome tweeter features a Dual-Phase Slot Horn (DPSH) design to improve efficiency.
To ensure that your music sounds great, these speakers use a monster 1.4-inch voice coil to give the drivers a 125-watt continuous, 250-watt maximum power rating. All the woofers include a shorting ring in the magnet assembly to reduce distortion and improve clarity through the upper midrange frequencies.
