A client from Chester stopped by to see us late last year, looking into options for upgrading the stereo in his 2013 Electra Glide Ultra Limited. He wasn’t looking to do the upgrade any time soon, but wanted to know his options for when he was ready. We’re happy to say that he popped back in the middle of March, ready to have it taken care of before riding season hit.
We started with pulling out the original Harley stereo and replacing it with an AquaticAV AQ-MP-5UBT-HS. The new AquaticAV radio is plug-and-play to the Harley harness while maintaining the handlebar controls. It also is waterproof and
has Bluetooth and USB thumb drive communication, and a full-color screen with a clock.
Next up were replacement speakers for the fairing. We used a set of ARC Audio adapters that bumps the speaker size from a 5 1⁄4″ to a 6 1⁄2″, so the front is able to play louder and lower than before with the new Arc Audio Moto602s installed. In the rear tour pack, we upgraded the existing 5 1⁄4″ speakers with a new set of ARC Audio ARC502s.
Now he’s ready to hop on, fire up some music from his phone and hit the highway!
