After looking through some of the projects on our website, a client from Richmond contacted the Extreme Audio team to ask about upgrading his 2023 Can-Am Spyder F3. The sound system on the Spyder didn’t play very loudly and sounded weak.
Our technicians replaced the rear speakers with Cicada Audio CXX525.4 5.25-inch coaxial drivers. A set of Audiofrog GS42 4-inch coaxial speakers replaced the fairing speakers. Next, we added Alpine Type-R SPR10TW tweeters to the front on custom acrylic plates. The added tweeters help ensure the highs would be audible over any wind noise.
We integrated an Infinity Kappa Perfect KP5004 four-channel amplifier into the front fairing to power the speakers. A set of laser-cut silicone seals ensures the amplifier installation is waterproof.
The new speakers brought the system on the Can-Am Spyder to life with more output capability and much better bass performance from the small ported enclosures. Of course, the amp ensures the system can play loudly without distortion.
If you are in the Richmond area and want to upgrade your motorcycle’s sound system, drop by, call or e-mail. We have locations in Mechanicsville and Midlothian to serve our clients.
