A client recently called us from Richmond who had just purchased a brand-new 2016 Jeep Wrangler. It came with the factory MYGIG radio that had an LCD screen, but it didn’t come with a backup camera. If you’ve ever driven a Jeep, you know that seeing out of the back is definitely difficult.
We fixed her right up with a system that is specifically designed for adding a reverse camera to the OEM Jeep radio. The camera comes with a Jeep Wrangler-specific mount that puts the camera right inside the spare tire, giving it a perfect view from right behind the Jeep.
Another cool feature of this setup is that you can activate the camera at any time while driving down the road. If the back of the Wrangler is full of items that block your view, you can activate it as a sort of rear view mirror to keep an eye behind you.

I need to add a back up camera to 2016 jeep wrangler, but do not have a touch screen now. Can you tell me what kits re available for me? I would be ok with one that mounts on dash if ness. don’t want to do rearview mirror because the uconnect mic is in the mirror assembly

With the more limited options on where the screen would go, I would strongly suggest coming by one of our two locations to take a look. The OEM radio w/ a screen does have the ability to add it with a special adapter. What part of Florida do you live in?
