We were recently contacted by a client with a 2005 Mercedes Benz S500. The display for the radio had stopped working and the client wanted to use the opportunity to upgrade to more current technology. After talking with the client we found out his specific needs and put together a package that would give him all he desired, and more. We started by replacing the factory dash bezel with one that allowed for installing a double din radio. The radio we chose was the Alpine INE-W957HD. This radio gave the client navigation, HD Radio, HDMI input Bluetooth handsfree cell usage, and Bluetooth audio streaming.
The S500 had factory steering wheel controls so we made sure to integrate those in with our new package. The final thing we had to do was to integrate with his factory subwoofer. To power the subwoofer we added an Alpine Power Pack mono amplifier. He now had everything he wanted!
