A client from Chesterfield contacted our Midlothian location, looking to add a remote start to his 2017 Subaru Outback. He wanted something with long-range capabilities, so he could start it from work and while out at restaurants, etc.
After going through the various remote options, he chose a Compustar system with long range and two-way confirmation. Two-way confirmation means that if he’s in his building at work and presses the start button, his car will actually send a signal back to the remote to confirm that it started. That way, he knows if he was within range or not, and can walk a little closer if needed.
This system included two of the “Slice” remote controls, with up to 4,000 ft of range and matching two-way remotes. As an additional perk, he’s also able to open and close the power liftgate from the remote control.
All of our systems come with a lifetime warranty on the remote start and installation labor, so now he’s ready to fight off the cold for the life of the vehicle. We even replace the remote batteries for free for the life of the system.
