When a client recently called us about what we could do for an audio system on her 2015 Can-Am Spyder RS Roadster, we knew exactly the option we would choose!
JL Audio makes what they call a “SlamPak” for that particular bike; specifically a SLPK- CAN-SPYDER1 that’s made for the 2007 and up Can-Am Spyder RS Roadster. The package consists of a JL Audio XD400/4 amplifier that supplies 200 watts to a JL Audio 8w3 subwoofer in the front storage compartment, and 75 watts to each of the JL Audio 7.7” marine components in custom pods on the side of the bike. By pairing that up with JL Audio’s new MBT-CRX waterproof Bluetooth receiver, you get to use your phone’s music as an audio source, without ever really having to access your phone.
We added a USB charging port in her front compartment, so she can tuck her phone away and keep it charged and dry, but fully control the volume, track forward and backward, and play/pause.
As you’ll see in the pictures, everything fits the Can-Am as if it came that way from the factory. The side pods have a style that flows well with the body, and you don’t even know the subwoofer enclosure/amp combination is there unless you open up and look for it. You better believe you know it’s there when you crank it up, though! With such large speakers on the sides, and good clean power, this thing sounded GREAT.

I would like to purchase a JL audio slampak…I have 2012 can am sypder …what do it all come with
Regrettably the SlamPak for the Spyder is discontinued. They’ve released a new speaker line, and will need to re-design it moving forward. With Covid they have put that off indefinitely. If we catch word that they re-release it I’ll try to let you know here.
