If you drive a car, chances are you have either bumped into another object or at least come close to one while driving in reverse. Backing up can be a challenge with distractions and blind spots, especially at night. I personally decided to have a backup safety products installed right away when I purchased my vehicle, and I’m so glad I did. Being a mom with small children, these products give me extra security, especially when I am backing into our driveway. Running over a bicycle may be one thing, but hitting a child is something I never want to think about. Parallel parking with car seats blocking my view used to be a challenge, but now has become a piece of cake, and parking in the dark is never an issue anymore.
Extreme Audio has all of the backup safety equipment you need to protect your vehicle and surroundings. From cameras to parking sensors, installing these products in your vehicle will give you all the warning signs you need to prevent a collision.
Backup Cameras
A small backup camera can be installed in your vehicle that will give you a clear image of what is behind you. Most times, these cameras are mounted above your rear license plate. When you place your car in reverse, you will immediately have a view of the area behind your vehicle. Many of these cameras will even show parking lines to help you determine how far you can back up to an object. Take a couple of minutes to learn more about our backup cameras:
Camera Viewing Options
There are a few options when it comes to how you want to view your camera’s image. If your vehicle already has a color screen in the dash, it is likely that the camera can be integrated to work with the existing screen. If you don’t already have a screen, an in-dash stereo with a display may be a great option for you. An additional option is to have a replacement rear view mirror installed. This mirror looks like your normal mirror, but it has an embedded LCD monitor that appears with your camera’s image when you place the vehicle in reverse.
Parking Sensors
Parking sensors will give you added safety as well. These quarter-sized sensors can be installed alone or in addition to a backup camera for maximum protection. They are mounted into the rear bumper of your vehicle and will beep faster as you get closer to an object. Parking sensors have really come in handy for me when it’s dark outside and I can’t see objects behind my vehicle.
